You need to change the blower motor resistor, it cuts the power down from 12 volts
to lesser volts, so you get 1,2,3,4,5 levels of heat. When the resistor goes out, it only
puts out 12 volts, so only high works. It's about a 30 dollar part, and you usually have to remove the glove box, pretty easy really.
You most likely have a bad blower motor resister.......
do you mean the speed of the fan? if so, it'a relay generaly near the motor of the fan. If it's the heat who only came at high speed, you need to add some antifreeze.
If you mean the fan - replace the fan speed resistor if the fan only works on high speed. Please supply more information - no heat or cooling? Does fan work? Does mode switch work?
The 2004 Chevrolet trailblazer air conditioning fan switch has three settings. The switch can malfunction, and only work in the high setting.
AnswerI think it is the switch or the wires. Actually it would most likely be the resistor motor is shot, if the blower motor only blow on high there is no resistance thus it will only work on high.
Had one that the fan motor was going bad Was burning out resistors with high draw
blower motor resistor
the blower motor resistor is bad or the connector going to it
The fan control module in the engine compartment has gone bad.
If only high speed is effected check the high speed relay and/or the fan switch/electrical connections for problems.

Unless it is a high efficiency model 14 SEER or greater, it is only supposed to run on high speed in a/c mode and low speed in heat.
