Because the vehicle stays at a steady speed and has less starts and stops (at traffic lights).
Anywhere from a few seconds to about a minute and a half.
Depends on the problem.... If the power supply lights do not come on, you likely have a problem with getting power to the unit (older models might not have any lights or displays). Try checking that a GFCI isn't tripped anywhere around your house. If you force the unit on and nothing happens at all, try finding a reset button on the power supply and push it. If you force it on now and it hums briefly the stops, then you have a short somewhere down the line. I would start by checking the wires at the terminal screws, the the other end of the wires. If the power supply is running (you should hear a hum) but no lights come on, then you have a problem with delivering power to the fixture. Check for severed wires, bad connections and bad light bulbs. Malibu has pretty cheap products so just because it's new doesnt mean it works. If you have a multimeter, you can check whether you are actually getting 12v from the power supply. If the lights are too dim, you may have too many fixtures or too long of wire for the size of wire you are using.

Short to Ground Replace fuse with a test light Turn on lights test light will illuminate Check each fixture individually until test light goes out (current flow stops). This will indicate which fixture or wiring is bad. be sure to check parking, tail, and license plate lights also
