This is because of Earth's gravitational field, which pulls everything (including your drink) towards the center of the Earth. If you were to flip your can over, the liquid would run out because there is nothing blocking it from being pulled towards the Earth.

In outer space, where there is no gravity, liquids form spheres that can be anywhere - at the bottom of the can, at the top, or floating around the room somewhere.
