Why does the odometer on your Chevy cavalier blink on and off?
there is something wrong with the wires. take it to a dealer to let them check it out!
Sit in the driver's seat. Put your seat belt on. With the key in the off position, press and hold in the odometer reset button. Turn the key one click (keep holding the odometer reset button in). Very shortly afterwards you will get a "RESET" (or similar) display. Release the odometer reset button. The display "RESET" will blink. While blinking press the odometer reset button again. That should do it.
To reset the maintenance light ,make sure you have the odometer displayed. 1-Turn the vehicle off 2- Push the button that toggles between odometer and trip, and keep holding it down 3-Now turn on the ignition, while your still holding the button down 4-The display should blink, the maintenance light will go out
Most Toyota oil lights reset as follows: 1. Crank your car and make sure odometer is set to primary mileage, it can't be on the trip odometer. 2. Turn your car off. 3. Push odometer but in fully and hold followed by turning your ignition key toward the crank position. 4. You should see the odometer or oil light start to blink and eventually go out. 5. This resets the light for another 4000 miles.
