Ozone hole occurs in the Southern Hemisphere. It is because westerly's carry CFC's there.
The hole is in the southern Hemisphere. It is at the south pole.
Ozone layer has hole in it above Antartica continent. It is located in southern hemisphere.
Both hemispheres have a hole. But the bigger one is in southern.
New Zealand has a hole over it. It is because it lies near the poles.
Depletion is depletion, everywhere. The size and duration of the ozone hole is a symptom of both how much water surface is located below it, and contaminants that require visible light to be photoactivated into ozone destruction. Don't be distracted by the size of the ozone hole.
Ozone layer hole is the low concentration of ozone. It is present in both hemisphere.
Winter, to early spring.
See "How did the ozone hole occur?"
Currently (2009dec23), there is no hole in the ozone layer at either pole. The maximum ozone hole size occurred in 2006. So it appears it is no longer growing.See "How did the ozone hole occur?" in the "Related questions" section below.
Yes. It is smaller than the southern polar ozone hole. There is a hole that forms in the ozone layer above the pole that is experiencing winter. The Southern pole get more hydrogen nucleii form the solar wind than the northern pole does, due to Earth's current magnetic field arrangement. This is why the southern polar hole is larger than the northern polar hole.
The ozone hole exists above Antarctica from August to November
[2008oct20]The ozone hole is past its peak size, and will start shrinking until it is full summer in the southern hemisphere. This year's [2008] hole was a little larger than last year's [2007], but not as big as the record [2006].
