Why does the soul have to evolve?

The soul, in my opinion, needs to evolve so that it can reach the Ultimate Truth, or in other words, God.

This is absolutely correct. I will elaborate based on a profound near death experience (body in a coma while soul was in heaven for three days being taught).

We incarnate upon this earth with our innate intelligence, our "I AM" and, upon the first breath, our soul. Our spirits remain in heaven to prevent our "living forever in our sins" as noted in Genesis with the "Cherubim and the Flaming Sword" analogy of why Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden. We come to this earth and gain a body with our soul as the liaison to our spirit. We can "lose our soul" based on continual wrong choices which deadens this connection with heaven. But we can also repent and change our life direction. This does not require any religion as it is based on your communication with God which is the primary reasons we come to this earth; to know God and to know thyself.

Further confirmation of this aspect of who we are is given by Jesus when He said "I and my Father are one." Jesus incarnated upon this earth (as we all do) as a man while His Spirit remained in Heaven as God the Eternal Father. This is why Jesus became so frustrated with Phillip when He said (paraphrased), "Phillip, how long have you known me and yet you still ask to see the Father? Don't you know that when you see me you have seen the Father?" (John 14).

For further guidance on why and how to evolve your soul, please recognize that paying a church or religion money does not wipe out sins; that requires a change of heart and restitution for wrong actions. This is based on communication with God and a changed life. No religion on this earth at this time has all of the answers. You might want to study early church history to understand the very political compilation and eroding mistranslations of even The Bible. The Lord in His Wisdom provided other records from His "other sheep" to come forth for this day (John 10:16).

Basically, follow the examples of Christ and seek truth as you are doing. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" is a very true statement. So gaining a pure heart is a key to the evolvement of the soul as the connection with God is based on heart to heart communication. Everyone can obtain this, but they have to ask as in; "seek and ye shall find." The truth seekers path is exciting!

Here are a few examples of men's ordinances that are not of God and never have been:

the belief and practice of polygamy ("an abomination of God"), masonry (requires a controlling blood oath and requirement of secrecy in conflict with God's teachings to never swear an oath), and the suppression of women (almost all religions prevent women from being leaders and priesthood holders). You can determine by this posting that I have found some truths in the Bible, however, there are also untruths. Such as, women being quiet; this is a fallible, culturally-programmed man's opinion and certainly not God's as He "suffered even the little children to come unto Him." The Millennium is a time of no more secrets and divine truth being restored. So you are living in the greatest time for the evolvement of your soul! Have fun!
