because it gives the planets gravity and light.
Because it's so close to us. The closer things are, the bigger they look. If you hold your thumb up in front of your face, it can cover up the whole sun.
The sun is a big star in the sky for us on earth it is so big.
The sun is so important to us on Earth because it provides us with light and heat. There would be no life on Earth if it wasn't for the sun. The Earth would be a big frozen rock.
How dumb are you? I'll surprise you: the sun is actually smaller than most of the stars you see im the sky. Then why is it bigger? BECAUSE ITS CLOSER.
the sun is a very big thing and is far away the moon is small compared to the sun and is near to us when the big sun goes far away it seems to be as big as the moon near to us
it protect us from sun. it helps us to not get a sun in our face so it can not get burned
Its quite simple really. Look at our planet, it has gravity which allows the moon to orbit us because the moon is being tugged by that invisable hand. Its the same with the sun but because the sun is so big and dense it has stronger gravity and therefore, objects orbit it.
It's relatively big & close to earth. The light of the sun shines on it which makes it visible to us.
The stars visible from earth (except the sun) represent stars from the size of our sun to supergiants. How "big" they look to us is as much or more a function of their distance from us as it is their size. With good vision, on a clear night, the faintest stars we can see are about fifth magnitude. With a 70 mm telescope, that jumps to about 9th magnitude.
They are many orders of magnitude further away from us than the sun is compared to the number of times larger than the sun is. For example a star that is 100 times the diameter of the sun but 1 million times further away would look about 0.0001 times as large as the sun to us.
No it doesnt because as you can imagine the Earth's atmosphere give us some protection for the rays, and anyways the sun is ORANGE close up so the answer again is No.
In winter the sun is a lot further away than in summer so it appears smaller. It's easy!
