You have to pull the lower radiator hose to drain/flush the radiator
Engine end of the upper radiator hose
radiator hose needs replacing. use and heat will cause hose to collapse when worn out
Or remove lower radiator hose
First you get to it then you remove it
Disconnect the lower hose
Usually in housing at engine end of top radiator hose
Remove the bottom radiator hose. Put a garden hose into the top of the radiator. Allow the garden hose to run until the water coming out of the bottom of the radiator is clear.
The thermostat on a 2001 Cadillac SLS is located in the radiator. To access it, remove the upper hose assembly after draining the radiator halfway.
There's always a partial vacuum formed in the radiator when the car cools, Presumably your hose was weaker than normal.
Usually at the end of top radiator hose in housing its at the end of the lower radiator hose on drivers side under the air box
Probably at the engine end of the upper radiator hose
