It probably needs to refresh itself from having so many people on it at once for a long time. Think of it as transformice's beauty sleep. We need sleep every night, transformice needs to disconnect for a while ~But not a long time. I hope I answered your question.

Why doesn't transformice work?
It happens when they TEMPORARILY (15 mins the most) shut down the server. It is usually because of updates etc. In other words, they restart the server. The famous sentence on Tfm: [SERVER] The server will restart in 2 minutes. Everybody hates it, but without it Transformice wouldn't be able to work properly. :)
