a prism
A block of glass that can split white light into the many colors that it is comprised of is called a prism. The name comes from the traditional shape of the tool, which is a triangular prism.

White mortar is the same as gray except it has been bleached. White thinset is needed if you are using a light tile with light grout.
Its doubtful any color would "bleed" through if you are only talking about a gray application for sticking the stone on. You will have to make sure you scrap your joints after the stone is stuck on to make sure it doesn't "show" when you put the grout on.So long as the the grout "completely" covers your base application you should be fine.
Mortar is used in cleaning household cleaners
The white light splits into a spectrum.the original colors will appear. This is referred as REFRACTION.
