Editing is important on WikiAnswers for many reasons. The main reason is that without editing, it wouldn't be a wiki. Without editing, WikiAnswers would be like any other question and answer site - multiple, grammatically incorrect, jumbled, horribly spelled answers that have bits of information here and there and never gets straight to the point. Without editing, WikiAnswers wouldn't be a Wiki at all.

No. A 'wiki' is any site that uses the wiki system of public creation and editing. Wikipedia is most well known site that uses this system, but that does not mean any site with 'wiki' in, is in any way related to the Wikipedia.
Then improve them. That is the whole point of a "wiki", that you can improve the answers by editing them yourself.
