Most likely it is the IAC (idle air control) valve. They sometimes will stick open or closed, giving you high idle speeds or no idle at all. Less likely could be a throttle position sensor, but they usually cause a check engine light too.
I have a 2001 chevy venture and I never had any probs. Only thing is the electrical goes out about 180,000 miles
no- 1998-2000 Chevy Venture vans only have a relay for the fuel pump and no fuse.
for my 2000 Chevy Venture I use DexCool. It is the ONLY one recommended by GM.
No only one.
the only engine that comes in the venture vans is the 3400 (3.4L) GM V6
I had this problem with my 2001 Venture, the dealer replaced the motor and the mechanism. The van was only 6 mos. old..
there is no timing belt -- only a timing chain that does not need to be replaced
There are no u-joints on the venture van. It has CV joints that are sealed with rubber boots and cannot be serviced. They can only be removed and rebuilt or replaced, etc
there is no upper intake gasket, only a front and rear
Had the same problem, check and clean all the ground wires. One to the right fender, one on the front righthand side by the front light and one to the stater.
there is no lower intake gasket, only a front and rear gasket
Headlights are not to stay on all the time, only front parking lights.
