No he likes Mazda cars he doesn't like Ford's because they are hard to drive for him
A faulty fuel injector can cause your Ford Windstar to run rough and feel like it's going to stall. A dirty or plugged air filter can also cause the vehicle to stall.
I would guess that you have a cooling problem...if the engine runs too hot the fuel can boil causing a stall like you indicated .
i have a 1197 Nissan altima, it keeps cutting out and acts like its going to die . changed the fuel filter it was like chocolate
The engine may not initially get enough power due to a dirty air filter. The fuel filter can also cause the same problem.
low transmission fluid or your tranny could be going out.
have you checked your FUEL FILTER lately? Or the fuel pump may be going out. Can you describe it if feels like it is NOT getting fuel? Or is it stumbling like it is getting too much fuel? Does it idle in Park, Drive, Reverse? The more info you can post the better answer or leads you will get to solving your problem.
Quite possibly a vacuum leak, or problem with fuel flow. Vacuum leaks can be bad at idle and cause it to stall, a fuel problem would make it very difficult to move at all.
