have your front brakes checked
If the car shakes when you press on the brakes, you probably have warpped brake rotors, and the squeak is probably some worn out front brake pads. I would have your rotors checked and either replaced (which Mercedes highly recommends or re-surfaced)
You dont mention the year on your vehicle, so I will speak of the 96-97 model. There is a step byt step detailed explanation with pictures that can be found at the website located in the related links below.
You step on the brakes.
brakes, or no sun
Depends on 2 things, Do they shake when you step on the brakes or are there grooves in your rotors? If you answer yes to either of those 2 questions I would say yes
Step 1: Get the manual and read it. Step 2: Describe which picture w/ caption(s) describing how to remove the hardtop you did not understand. Step 3: Repost the question with a specifics. Step 4: If you did not do the first 3 steps, then this step is the best solution...go sit in a corner and bang you head against the wall and say, "I am lazy." over and over and over again.
you do an immediate stop.
yes
