it is low on freon go to a local shop and have them check it you may have a leak or just low.
It probably needs some coolant. This is the chemical that is put in the car in order to keep the air conditioner cool. If your air conditioner is not getting cold either the coolant has run out or leaked out.
the AC is run by a belt that is connected to the engine. if you turn the engine off, the belt stops moving. No belt movement means no power for the AC. the fan will only blow air, not cold air.
You have run out of coolant, or the heater matrix is blocked.
Could be low on refridgerant or have a faulty pressure switch. The pump has to be running for the air to blow cold. If the refridgerant is low the pump will click on and off and not run long. If the pressure switch is bad it will not sense the refridgerant and do a similar thing. If you don't have access to pressure gauges I would go to the auto parts store and ask them if they can put a can of refridgerant in or buy a kit to do it yourself. If that doesn't fix it you may have to see the mechanic.
turn your temp down to 65 it will be cold just let her run
run as fast as you can cause it is going to blow up in 5 minutes
Your air conditioner might need to be recharged. First try putting in a new fuse for you air conditioner in the fuse panel. Alot of people don't know but before turning off a car or starting one they tend to leave their air conditioner on which burns them out over time. Also whats a good idea, even in the winter run your air conditioner atleast once a month.
No. Antifreeze is added to the engine cooling system to help the engine run cooler and keep the water from freezing in the winter. A refrigerant (also called freon) is what makes the a/c blow cold air.
Insufficient amount of coolant or thermostat not opening
Check to see if your condenser fan is running when a/c compressor kick on.
Your condenser fan is likely bad. This just happened with my 2003 Dodge Ram. The a/c would run nice & cold as long as I was moving, but once I stopped the a/c would just blow hot air. We replaced the fan and it is as good as new! Good luck!
There are no air conditioner's here currently available that run only on solar energy.
