Air is trapped in the system. Bleed the brakes to remove the air. Start at RR then move to LR, then RF, and end at LF.
If it is softer than normal, it could be due to air in the lines or a ruptured line.
A soft break pedal usually means there is air in the line and you need to bleed the brakes to get it out.
That is very often a result of either air in the brake lines, as when you forget to fill the master cylinder, or when the brake mechanisms on the 4 wheels are set to different tolerances.
Ans 2 - You can not 'set brake mechanisms to different tolerances' - What utter nonsense ! -When your brake pedal feels soft you definitely have air in the brake lines and should have them checked immediately. There can be a leak in any of the wheel cylinders, or the master cylinder may be 'bypassing' or even (at worst) a rotting brake line the has a tiny leak.
Air in the brake lines
There is air in your brake system. Have it checked ASAP. You have a fluid leak somewhere.
soft peddle feel maybe from a damaged brake master cylinder. this pressurizes the peddle, and if there is a leak in the cylinder it might feel soft or flop all the way to the floor.
brek pads
Air trapped in the brake lines. Bleed your brakes and that will solve the problem.
Air in the brake system. You need to bleed the air out of the system.
Air in the system. Bleed the brake system.
Air in the system. -Get it checked by a pro, ASAP.
Your brake system may have air in the lines. When did you last check fluid level .
Typically, that comes from having air in the lines.
A soft brake pedal can indicate several issues, such as air in the brake lines, a brake fluid leak, or worn brake components. Air in the hydraulic system can prevent proper pressure from building, leading to a spongy feel. Additionally, low brake fluid levels due to leaks can reduce the system's effectiveness. It's important to address this issue promptly to ensure safe braking performance.
It probably means that you need to visit a mechanic. Soft brake pedal feel can mean that air has gotten into the fluid lines. There could be other issues like worn-out pads or rotors.
