It is probably a cyst. A vet will have to remove it to dissect it to know what the exact cause of it is.
The only way to diagnose hard lumps on the head is to see a physician. They could be from many different causes.
All sorts of things can cause lumps. Bruises, insect bites among others. If you are worried you should see a doctor.
Bumping of the head could mean your cat isn't seeing right or could be a sign of illness, I would get a vet to look at him/her
Go see a doctor if possible. If the lumps are hard and attached to the muscle, I'd get it checked out immediately.
