your game could be crashing because your computer doesn't meet the system requirements.
Im afraid, if your computer does shut down when your playing then there is not a lot you can do. If you don't save your game regularly, then you will lose all of your data aswell. If your computer does shut down, then just switch it back on again and hopefully your sims game will still be running.
Yes but its not like computer, playing sims on the computer is better because it as more features
There are many reasons why your Sims is shutting down but, it is usually because these certain reasons. Either you are hitting one button that can shut down your certain computer. Or it is that when you downloaded stuff for your Sims you might have got a glitch that is messing it up. Well, you could shut down your whole computer. But if you didn't save any of your progress, I suggest you just wait and see what happens. If it's been more than an hour there's a problem with the Sims 3/ or Sims 2 on your computer. You would have to shut down your computer. Sorry to say that! If you did save your progress, I think it would still be lost because of shutting down your computer. I'm not sure because this has never happened to me before.

It might be because your computer does not have enough memory or video card space to run it properly. Or, your pushing a button on your keyboard. :) You might just want to see how much memory your sims 3 game takes up, and how much your computer has. Hope this helps. Happy Simming :)
