Some ways you can tell that your goldfish is sick are that it might start swimming slowly, upside down, sideways and around in circles. Also, if you're too busy to clean their tank every other day the best investment would be a sucker fish that eats all the mildew that collects in the tank. Lastly, when you get your new pet, set up his tank and let the bag he comes in sit in the water for a half hour so the water temperatures in the bag and the tank both agree with the poor little swimmer. Nothing hurts more than going from two different temperatures!
