Is it red or swollen?, if so it could be rejecting.. if not do you clean it regularly ? Oral piercings are susceptible to an infection. if it is really concerning you go to your doctor...

wait for four days to clean it more often then what you cleaned it then if it still hurts i suggest you go to where you got it pierced and ask them to check it out, but if that don't help see you doctor and if it is infection then your doctor might suggest that you take it out

when you get your lip pierced by a professional they do not use a gun they use clamps and a needle they push the needle through your lip very fast i have i have had my lip pierced 4 times and i watched the piercer the whole time GO TO A PROFESSIONAL THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!! 2nd answer: I pierced my lip myself and my tips would be, get an actual piercing needle. They are so much easier to use. But, if you can't get one use a thick sewing needle. I used one. Numb BOTH sides of your lip with ice. Then just stick the needle through. If you hesitate it will just hurt more. Once it is through wait maybe one hour. Remember to move around the needle in between the waiting time. Then slowly as you pull the needle out place the lip ring in. I suggest studs. You can put rings in about 3-4 weeks after it has healed with no problem.

I have my ear's pierced 6 times 3 on each ear lobe. I got my first one's done when i was 6 weeks old so i do not remember them ones lol. The second ones i got when i was 8 it was done with the gun at the same time. The third i got done when i was 12. It feels like someone pinching your ears. Doesnt hurt at all. Just keep your earrings( the ones it was pierced with ) in for at least 2-4 months and when you do change the earrings use proper earrings or if you use "cheap" earrings i advise not to leave them in for more then 48 hours unless your ears adapt to them.
