to much fuel left in a cylinder. usually from a bad cam lobe or a misfiring sparkplug.
When you place a lighted splint into, say, a test tube, where you suspect hydrogen gas is being given off, a 'pop' sound indicates the presence of the gas.
This can be because it may be out of time. Have the vehicle timed.
Gas caused by fermentation.
the gas inside it
I believe Nitrogen gives off a squeaky pop when burnt.
I'm not sure why it does that. I have an '84 Fiero and when I got on the highway and hit over 55 it made a loud pop and then the engine shuts off. After that day I realized I blew the muffler. So try checking that. But after I replaced the muffler its still giving me problems. :( I love the car though. I'm not sure why it does that. The gas which burns with a pop sound is hydrogen gas.
Pop - Gas album - was created in 2000.
hydrogen gas, collect in a test tube and light with a naked flame, it should go "pop"
hydrogen
if an experiment is done in a test tube and hydrogen gas is given off if a lit splint is placed inside the test tube there will be a pop.
You can use a lit splint and hold it over where you think the hydrogen is, and if you hear a loud squeaky pop sound it will prove the existence of hydrogen there. You can also test of hydrogen using a Hydrogen Leak Detector.
