Sounds to me like you need to replace the spark plugs, spark plug wires and rotor. If the condition still persists, replace the distributor cap.
Cap and rotor plugs and wires may be worn
You have bad spark plugs and or cap and rotor
Points, condenser, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air, fuel, and oil filters.
Cap and rotor, yes. Points, no.
Points and condenser, cap and rotor, plug wires and spark plugs, Fuel filter, air filter and PCV valve. That should do it.
could need new plugs, plug wires, new points and condenser rotor and distriburetor cap and the timing set, also could be in need of a carb rebuild.
Check for fuel spark and compression, one of those has to be missing. it could easily be a bad valve.
check your timing
Plug wires are installed incorrectly.
If you are not getting spark to any of the plugs could be coil rotor and/or cap HEI ignition?
Yes.
These vortech engines have an inferior disrtibutor, Check to see if there is slack in the shaft by moving it from side to side, If any slack at all its bad. Also have the ignition module tested.
