On my engine, the accelerator pump on the Carb is going bad, 350 engine with quadrajet carb
If a 1989 Suburban hesitates when accelerating from 45 miles per hour, the carburetor might need cleaned. A clogging can cause surging and hesitation.
Sounds like torque converter is going bad
for me it was a small rubber elbow that connected one of the vacuum hoses. It was a $2.00 part at Checker.
a broken , loose ,or missing tranny mount or perhaps UV joints going bad.
Dude, the engine is smoked. Sorry to have to tell you.
You might want to trace the whole fuel line from the tank and make sure that its not getting pinch when turning accelerating or hard stopping. good places to look might be around body mounts. good luck . snm
When it dies, is it a sudden stall, or does it run rough, and then die? If its sudden, it is most likely a electrical problem, but if it runs rough, or dies when accelerating, it might be mechanical. Such as the fuel lines, carb, etc.
A green 1996 Chevy suburban
Could have a large vacuum leak.
it only studders at low rpm it runs great at high rpm or accelerating only at idle and take off rpm
Most likely a dirty fuel filter or Bad Ignition Timing.
it is accelerating.
