they are nocturnal which means they rest at day and run around and hunt at night. its totally normal but you should make sure you are putting a uvb light on it at night time it is really important.
Because - just like when you eat a big meal - it needs time to rest.
If the bearded dragon gets too cold it will go to sleep
Maybe because you're warm.
Yes. Keeping an infrared light on will cause the bearded dragon to sleep, whereas a standard UV lightbulb will keep the bearded dragon awake.
Of course it is ! EVERY animal (and human) needs sleep - it's the body's natural behaviour !
No, bearded dragons do NOT breathe fire. They are only lizard with the word 'dragon' in their name.
Are you SURE it's sleeping ? Turtles go into a kind of 'trance' when they lay their eggs - it may be that your beardie is doing something similar.
The way you make your dragon sleep on dragon fable is all too simple.
This Dragon Won't Sleep was created in 1995.
They can dig for various reasons; laying eggs, to burrow into the sand to sleep/cool down, or simply for fun. They also may be digging for bugs or water, but I'm not an expert.
with their eyes shut and on the ground
"Winter Shutdown" for a Bearded Dragon is called Brumation. You can tell when they go into Brumation by their activities. A Beardie will slow down, sleep more, eat less, just seem tired all the time and sometimes they will even find a place in their tanks to hide. Some Beardies will not even want to be held during this time and won't use the wash room by themselves.
