Why doesn't coffee work on you?

Probably because you drink too much caffeine. All you need is one medium sized coffee or tea or soda to get enough caffeine to make you alert. If you drink lots of sodas and "energy drinks" you are getting too much caffeine and your body is basically addicted to it so it takes more and more to have an effect. You need to cut WAY back on the caffeine and it will start working again in about a week.

Also - you need to get enough sleep so you don't need coffee! Kids need 10-12 hours a night and adults need 6-8 hours.
