Lucky for you, this question is outdated. Cricket now offers the iPhone (unlocked) for a contract-free price.
Yes, there are several prepaid carriers on the market that carry iPhones. (Straight Talk, Cricket, etc.)

no sorry its one of the iphones major faults it doesnt play flash
Cricket offers a wide variety of phones including the newest iPhones, Samsung, and Kyocera. However, not all of the phones offered in one store may be offered in another. Cricket phones depend on the availability at the certain store.

unfortunately, java doesnt work on ipod touchs or iphones, so you are unable to play runescape, but can you are still able to access highscores and the forums.
iPhones are widely used in the UK.
Considering this question is in the iPhone 3GS category I am going to say no. The iPhone 3GS is only compatible with GSM networks which Cricket is not, so switching would be physically impossible. I believe that switching a CDMA iPhone to Cricket would aslo be contractually impossible as well. Luckily Cricket Wireless does now dispense iPhones, so ask them about it because they probably know maore than I do.
No...Well not any of which i know of... Sprint is CDMA The network with out a sim card .So is Verison, Boost, Metro, and, Cricket.
Yes, iPhones can have text signatures.
