There is no reason for gasoline to explode in a tank. There is no heat or spark source in there. But the basic answer might be that there is little to no air (specifically oxygen) in the tank.
Gasoline being poured into a tank is not a chemical change.
Strange question! If caught in molten lava they will certainly catch fire, and yes the tyres and petrol tank could well explode.
oxygen + gasoline burns
nitrogen or carbon dioxide. p 395 bottom exercise
Water sinks in gasoline. Whatever size bottle you want to think about, it's heavier when it'sfull of water, and lighter when it's full of gasoline.Small aircraft, with their fuel tanks in their wings, used to have small bleeder valves in theunderside of the wing, where water was drained from the tank before flight. It was on thebottom, because any water that condenses in the tank, or gets in there by any means, alwayssinks in the gasoline and winds up at the bottom of the tank.
Because there is no spark or flame present. If the tank is full it wont even explode if you throw a match in it, However if the tank has a large area that has no liquid fuel in it then the addition of a lit match or spark will cause it to explode.
In the gas tank...put one bottle to a full tank of gasoline.
Under the right circumstances it sure can. If you could douse the cigarette directly into the diesel it probably would not explode. The problem is the fumes. The fumes ignite first and then the diesel explodes. It is even quicker and more violent with gasoline.
because the dont press together like in the motor
no, it will not explode. even if a flame is present the stream of galoine will leak onto the ground igniting. the stream of gas moves to fast for the fire to move up and into the gas tank/can. However, some bullets have black powder diluted onto the projectile, and theoretically, if this happened while you shot the gasoline tank; it would explode.
No, but why would you add P/S fluid to your gasoline? No benefit in doing this.
Because it's a liquid. Because it needs a spark to ignite, which is why in come cases, if you are on a cell phone, or you are smoking, it will cause the entire gas tank/station to explode! KABOOM! :)

i just had my 02 v6 mustang drove 320 miles w/ a full tank gasoline
Depends on what's inside. Normal car with only gasoline for fuel: no. Gasoline must be vaporized to explode. Otherwise it just burns slowly at the surface. Hydrogen power car with full hydrogen tank: yes. Car with dynamite in the trunk: yes. Cars in movies: yes.
A pint or less mixing with a full tank of gasoline, nothing will happen.
With gasoline the fumes are flammable, not the actual liquid, so the newly emptied gas tank would combust rapidly, and the completely full tank would catch fire and burn longer, but it wouldn't be as bad as the newly emptied gas tank
