Every day objects are surrounded by air, on all sides and inside, so all the force of the weight of the air acts equally in all directions.

∙ 9y agoAir pressure doesnÕt crush objects such as your desk because the amount of pressure from the desk itself, as well as the air all around it, is relatively equal. If the air pressure were to be increased enough, it would be able to crush your desk because it would overwhelm the forces that keep your desk in its normal shape.

air pressure is pushing in all kinds of directions there for it keeps everything stable because the forces are equal. (there is no greater force)
