Why doesnt all of the suns energy make it to the earth?

Less than 1% of the Sun's released energy reaches Earth.

The other 99% is 'blasted out' in all directions from the Sun. Not just in the plane of the Solar System, but above and below that plane of the Silar System.

Of that 1% energy only about 0.7% is absorbed by Earth, the other 0.3% is reflected back into space.

In a similar way , when we see the Moon, it is just a tiny fraction of solar energy being reflected by the Moon in the direction of the Earth.

The Sun is a star. At night we see millions of stars, simply because their energy is being released in all directions. The Sun behaves in a similar way, it is just much closer to use than the other stars.
