Maybe the ethernet cable is not your problem. Ethernet cables are available everywhere and they all should work for the PS3, PC, router, modem, etc. ethernet ports are one way and are either in or out. The spot on back of the PS3 to connect an ethernet is a standard size and is meant to connect to a modem or a router or it will not work.
what you need to do is buy an ethernet cord to connect your xbox to the internet then you must pay for xbox live i have two x box's but modem have one ethernet port
A phone cord has a different connection. You could make the cord work if you knew the pin-out of an Ethernet cable and the resources to do it but it is much easier to just buy the Ethernet cable.
just plug your cord into your xbox and into your router and then click join live. Yhis may not work as the nat type may be strict, if pluggingt in doesn't work let me know and i will give you a step by step instruction.
No it doesn't, if you want to do a system link without XBL you can do so by using an ethernet cable between 2 xbox's
Yes, any Ethernet cable will work for the 360.
A Ethernet Cable Is A Wire That Can Connect A Computer To Another Computer. If Your Connection Is Wired The Wire Goes From The Back Of Your PC To The Router. For The Xbox Instead Of The Wire Going To The Back Of The PC It Goes To The Xbox
you need an ethernet (sp?) cable either connected directly from one xbox to the other . or plug two Ethernet cables into the same router then into each xbox . should work then
If you want a wireless internet hookup for the xbox then it is necessary to have a wireless network adapter. If you don't want to buy one you can always hookup the xbox to the internet with an ethernet cable. but do u only need that cable and it will work?? i have wireless internet and if i connect the ethernet cable to xbox from the computer it will work?? Answer- NO you can not plug ur xbox straight into your computer. You won't get internet that way. You have to use an ethernet cable and plug it into ur wireless router. Or you can just buy a wireless adaptor.
Though I don't have an XBox 360 so I can't answer this with complete confidence, I would say most likely yes. The PS3 just uses a standard ethernet cord. The only reason I could see for the 360 to not use it would be if it was wireless only, but I don't think so. Only the wii is that annoying.
Because the power cord is specifically made for that model.
Xbox 360 has only ethernet port.Modems with USB or COM interface can't be connected to xbox 360.
The built-in wifi needs to connect to your internet/modem to even access the internet. Or you can use an ethernet cable.
