if you have the one with the button sometimes there is a air hose behind the battery connected to the 4x4 cilinder and sometimes it comes loose and pops out
I got a 1997 explorer sport with control trac 4wd. its suppose to but it doesnt work.
I have the same problem. The dealer says to forget it because it costs a small fortune to repair.
If the button activates the 4wd still, its just the light bulb, if it does not, the the button does not work, or, you may have a short.
well,, you can start by turning the switch on your dash that says '4wd'
No. 4wd helps with pulling traction. Brakes work exactly the same on a 4wd as a 2wd and the 4wd helps none at all in stopping.
cause you farted on it
no 2wd jeeps have the same exact suspension set up as a 4wd the difference is the front axle is just a tube and doesnt have a diff on it. i would suggest a locker for your rear axle because your gonna need at the traction you can get
If same engine, and same 2wd/4wd, then yes.If same engine, and same 2wd/4wd, then yes.
it doesnt work
Any vehicle can be made into a 4wd, but the expense and work involved are usually more than if you were to just buy the 4wd model.
it doesnt work cuz it doesnt exist sorry to burst ur bubble
check fuse
