Bad transmission? Bad Clutch?
Noise from floor on 96 Nissan Maxima could be as a result of poor shifting. This often occurs when you use the wrong gear oil.
A 1992 Nissan NX 5speed will use approximately 3 to 4 quarts of gear oil in the transmission. The gear oil can be purchased at any auto parts store.
I own a 2003 Nissan Maxima Se 6spd. To put the car in reverse, you need to pull up a ring underneath the shift ball up which unblocks reverse gear. Then move the shifter all the way to the right and down. It is also the same on a 2002 Maxima Se 6spd. 1 3 5 2 4 6 R
Code P0731 means A/T first gear signal fault
brake/shift interlock switch needs replacing
try pushing the clutch all the way in as far as it can go. and if that doesn't work call your nearest Nissan or auto mechanic.
if is manual transmission you can, by pushing the car down a hill and suddenly pulling the clutch while the car is on 2nd gear
your transmission is out. your transmission is out.
More likely to be an air leak than a sensor problem. Check your vacuum and air intake lines for leaks.
If the 2004 Nissan Maxima won't start and won't come out of Park, one thing to do would be to try moving the steering wheel back and forth while trying to move the gear shift out of Park. If this does not work, the thing to do might be to reprogram the key. Some car keys have a computer chip in them to prevent theft.
Either your clutch is stuck or your synchro mesh and or bushings have gone out. you need to have your tranny serviced
Yes, the Nissan GTR does have a gear noise which is a very common phenomenon.
