In a 4-wheel drive system, the front wheels may not spin if the vehicle is in a "part-time" 4WD mode and the transfer case is not engaged or if there's a fault in the system. Additionally, if the vehicle is on a surface with low traction, power may be diverted to the rear wheels due to differential action. Some vehicles also have a "4WD" mode designed for off-road conditions that allows for uneven power distribution, which can result in the front wheels not spinning. Proper engagement and functioning of the 4WD system are crucial for all wheels to operate effectively.

Probably means you have a "front wheel" drive car....your front tires are what make your car go, not the back. I have front wheel drive on my car and once on a rainy day...my front wheels spun out taking off from a stop sign...wierd! I hate front wheel drive cars!
Unless there is a red light, the front wheels are likely engaged but do not achieve traction unless there is slippage occurring. In other worrds all is likely fine and when you need it -it's there!

With a tow truck or car dolly from the front. If you dont hook it to the front you will have to leave your trans in neutral and tie the steering wheel straight.Long distance tows can mess your transmission up if the drive wheels are on the ground.
