I too had issues with using GameShark codes on my mac, but now I have fixed this problem!

I made a very detailed YouTube video how to enter GameShark codes on mac, and shown a working example.

Check out my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mbvptik5_B0

Enjoy!

EDIT: Sorry I moved the video. You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXikE6Iql5Q

March 31st, 2012 Edit2: These codes dont work for emerald version. I have found a solution for people looking for Emerald. took me forever...

When you open VBA and it asks you which game to open, click Cancel. This does not close VBA. Go to options of VBA and click Add codebreaker/Gameshark codes(they are unable to be used while a game is on this is why you click Cancel). After you enter the codes click Ok. Then go to Open Roms and choose Emerald. To activate the codes I have found you must press a combination of keys similar to no$gba. These keys are Left and Right Option buttons on the keyboard along with the Left control button. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but it's the only solution I've found.

Warning: The codes for Emerald are really buggy and crash the game frequently, by exiting VBA it will remove the codes and your game will be normal.

The only codes I've found to work are the Pokemon modifiers on Supercheats.com

Hope that helps.

Where you can find gameshark codes for Pokemon liquidcrystal for visual boy advance?

Pokemon Liquid Crystal is a hacked version of Pokemon Fire Red, So all gameshark codes that work on fire red will work on liquid crystal too, and it does work but I would advice you not use the codes because it can, I mean there is a possibility that the ROM will get corrupted use it but dont overuse, disable them when not required the game becomes less interesting if you use codes Have fun playing it you can find gameshark codes at gamefaqs.com

In Pokemon Liquid Crystal where Crystal version gameshark codes work also?

Liquid Crystal is a fanmade hack of Firered, so if you aim to use Gameshark codes, you should use codes from the US release of Firered Version. I've tried a couple just for fun, since I've never been able to use a Gameshark before, and those codes I have tried work perfectly. Most, if not all, codes that work for the US version of Firered should work in Liquid Crystal. As far as I know, codes from Crystal Version will not work for it, since it's a different game and system. You might get something off of a cheat code by some stroke of luck, but it likely won't be what you intended to do. Of course, I wouldn't know how similar the codes may be between the GBC and GBA, but I would personally just use the codes from Firered to be safe. Just be careful which codes you use as some could really glitch up or freeze your game.
