Why don't my directionals work on my 2002 Chevy Cavalier?
Because it is an American made car.
un bolt the old header and bolt the new one on . dont forget the gasket
you dont freon does not go into cars you can buy a recharge kit from any parts store you
If it is a manual, YOU DONT HAVE ONE. Because you dont need to check the tranny fluid unless you have a leak, at which time you should be on your way to a mechanic
It dont have one.It has a air/oil seperator on the block, underneeth the intake manifold. No maintenance required.
google it but no they dont have a carp they are fuel injected unless someone wanted to waste their time to drop a carbed engine in it
i have a '96 cavalier and all u have to do is stick a screw driver in the panel beside the radio to where u can get your fingers in there and just pull it out. but be careful that u dont break the panel or the clips.
What can it be if the reverse lights on a 2005 chevy cavalier 5 spd dont work bulbs already been replaced and fuses are good?
Defective reverse light switch.
Yes, you can get one at "Wal-Mart" or a store like "Best Buy". Dont cut the plug off the car!
It COULD be a blown fuse. Check the fuse panel. It COULD by a blown flasher unit. If the fuse is OK, change the flasher.
Dont have one. There is a little plug on the tranny, underneath close to the oil drain plug. If fluid come out there... there is plenty in it. If it dont add until it does. I know it's stupid, but I didn't design it.
I just got both brake lines on a 94 cavalier replaced for $250.00. I dont know if this was a good price though.
Why does a 2002 Chevy cavalier make a humming sound at 25mph 36 or 37mph and 55mph Foot on or off the gas Sometimes you can hear it just taking off?
it could be a possability that you could have a small hole in your exaust pipe thats what i got when ur car is on look at the exaust pipe and feel around it dont touch it cus it will be hot lol
Either get a repair manule or go to autozone.com. Sign in/sign up (it dont cost anything) then go thru the clicks to get your repair info you desire....but that info is there.
Some radiators dont have a drain plug and the ones that do is hard to reach. Its easier and quicker to remove the lower radiator hose. (passenger side, below the engine)
go to gm and ask them for a print out of the dash and ALSO how to DISABLE THE AIRBAG. Dont try and remove the dash without disableing the passenger side airbag
They dont put one on because of a maintenance and money issue. You need to change filter when you change fluid. Plus many folks would think that is a job for the stealership...
lacking of oil to the cylinder possibly, distributers can also be a factor...... also dont forget to check the simple things such as spark plugs or any loose wire connections
Have a 1998 Chevy Cavalier coolant leaks from somewhere near the front of the engine when cold but not when running or hot?
You may have a bad head gasket and it may be leaking from that. Why when cold i dont know, but if you are losing coolant it may be the head gasket.
2000 Chevy cavalier has an oil leak that was found near the transmission Mechanic said that the transmission needs to be removed to fix the problem Sound right?
Yes. I dont know how but all 2000 Chevy Cavaliers were made in a way (i dont know which way) making the transmission easy to crack. You do need to remove the transmission and fix or replace it. Most Dealers will give you a discount for a fix if you complain the right way
2.2L engine 10.3 quarts ........ 2.4L 10.7 quarts water/antifreeze mixture 50/50 dont mix red and green together unless the jug say's its ok
It has only one belt. The drive belt drives the Alternator and A/C Compressor and is driven by the crankshaft pully and the slack is taken out by the tenioner pully. It dont have a timing belt,it has a timing chain.
its there....i think its a screw on the very bottom of the radiator..faces the ground if you dont see one disconnect the lower radiator hose
96 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 5 speed will not turn over Check starter and batterycables and they are fine What could cause this problem?
Did you try the neutral safety switch that activates off the clutch pedal? so you dont start the car in gear? Adam
if you send me an email i will be able to tell its kinda tricky because you have to remove the top panel of the dash to take out the stereo and you dont want to deploy the airbag in the process, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
I cant type very good so I'm not going to try to explain it. If you know the code number... do a "GOOGLE.COM" search. The procedure is listed may places. If you dont know the code that was used, a dealership may be in your future.
the air fuel ratio is computer controlled dont think there is a way to change it the computer adjust the air/fuel based on sensors and theyre readings. if its not running right its prolly a sensor issue possibly the oxygen sensor
Sorry to be so cavalier, but if you dont know you are too young to be doing it!
hardest part is getting the window to line up on the tracks after installation dont be scared. i am not that mechanical and did it in less than 2 hours try autozone for online instructions they were very good I've had my passenger power window motor go out twice on my 2002 Cavalier and trust me, it's harder to put the motor in than one would think. I took it to the local glass company… Read More
I dont know how to do it on a cavalier but if your just doing it to lubricate the cylinders you can spray white lithium or just wd40 into the cylinders where the plugs go.
there might be a crack in the positive wire and its coming in contact with the frame. These older GM products dont stand the test of time in their wiring!
it is most likely the turn signal flasher
If yours has a cargo net, unhook the side in question.Unscrew those two hooks, peel back the trunk liner, you will see the tail lights. Twist the socket and lightly pull it out of the lens assembly. Grab the bulb and pull it strait out.(Dont twist the bulb,it dont unscrew) Put it back the same way you took it out, but in reverse.
I dont belive there is a set test for a fuel filter, but, you can put a pressure gauge before the filter, get a reading and then put the guage after the filter and get another reading. But it would be easier to just install a new filter and be done with it. But be careful...gas is dangerous and stinky
Open hood, take out the two gray looking screws that hold headlight on,they are on the top..Set the headlight out of the way, reach in behind the blinker, twist the bulb holder and pull it out, pull the little bulb strait out (dont twist the bulb).
This 2.4L dont have rocker arms and push rods.
i dont know ask him
With any gaskets, you have to scrape them off carefully with a scraping tool. Dont gauge the metal. Then go to a store and buy a new gasket for your year/make/model/engine size. if you want to be sure it will seal, get some gasket sealant for an extra dollar.
Yea but dont.
The main effect you will notice the car stalls and goes dead. The computer shuts down the fuel injectors. If you have problems with the theft system and "NORMAL" procedures dont reset the theft system, check the plug on the wire harness under the battery and there are a couple of "ground wires" under there ,too.
2002 models dont have an iat sensor
you dont. it has coil springs.
Why would a Chevy Cavalier tend to stall when slowing down and turning to left but not to the right?
I dont know how much this will help you, but i had a 95 cougar and every time i turned to the left it stalled out. So one day i bought Full injector cleaner and put it in, Went to an empty lot and drove in circles to get the kinks out, and it worked, never stalled again.
Gas leaks are pretty evident where ever they may be. But one place that dont get considered and slips by most of the time is the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line. It gets past the diafram and gets sucked into the intake manifold causing poor mileage, flood outs, and hard strarting problems.
you dont you dont
It isnt. Dont believe the idiot that told you that.
you dont have to
dont need it
They dont have timing belts. There are timing chains on both the 2.2L OHV and the 2.4L DOHC engines.
It dont have a relay for the computer. There is a fuse under the hood marked "PCM". It is 10 amp.
its a timing chain and as long as you dont have like over 200,000 miles its should be fine... its a timing chain and as long as you dont have like over 200,000 miles its should be fine...
