The WikiAnswers home page only show the newest questions (and there are new questions every few seconds) or the newest answers. So it's quite unlikely that you'll notice you question on the home page unless you have a tab of the WikiAnswers home page open and refresh the page instantly after posting you question.

You can always get rid of your home page in settings bar. You can always set it to blank in Chrome.
if you mean u dont want this as ur home page then u go to the home page you want (e.g. facebook) then go to the home bar on the top of the screen BUT DONT CLICK ON IT... click on the arrow pointing down and click Add or Change Home Page then click Use This Webpage As Your Only Home Page... and there you have it now it is not your home page but the site u went to at the time is, and u can still come here but not if u click home page. u have to type in WikiAnswers.com to come here again... It means that the supervisor thought that was a question that was in the correct category, was easy to understand and read, and was a question that would probably get answered if someone saw it on the home page. Occasionally it could mean that the supervisor wanted a quick answer (sometimes featured questions get answered more quickly than other questions), but since the questions on the home page also get vandalized more often, that isn't always effective.
