Pain killers are not designed to kill diseases. They work in various ways; either by stopping the transmission of pain to the brain, by altering the brain's perception to pain, or by reducing inflammation. Some work by altering the hormones responsible for making the nerves work properly.

In no way do pain killers attack viruses or bacteria, nor do they boost your immune system.

How do noninfectious disesae spread?

noninfectious diseases dont "spread" as they are "caused by either the environment, nutritional deficiencies, lifestyle choices, or genetic inheritances. Unlike infectious diseases, non-infectious diseases cannot be spread from person to person, although some kinds can be passed down genetically to the children of a carrier."

Why are infectious diseases less common now than 200 years ago?

its mainly because of the increase of knowledge and technology. there are still infectious diseases around but now doctors and microbiologists understand how they spread and how to contain them. im sure if you went to a third world country you would see the same amount of infectious diseases as europeans had 200 years ago and this is because they dont have the advancement we do.
