Did you check the fuse box? Sounds like a blown fuse to me.
The fog light switch is beside the dimmer for the interior gauges, just above your hood release.
This airbag issue is part of a recall by Mazda. You should contact your dealer.
The alarm warning light in your 2002 Mazda Protg is an indication that the alarm system is deactivated. Remove the alarm fuse, for 10 seconds. Put the fuse back into its original slot.

One or more of the tail lights, head lights, or brake lights is out.
The tail lights and plate lights are on the same fuse, if the tail light come on it is not the fuse. Plate lights are not checked that often and it is common for them both to be brunt out when they are noticed.
The 2002 Cavalier has a reverse light switch. The switch can be bad, or have a loose connection causing the lights not to work.
disconnect the positive battery cable then reconnect.
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine the problem
Fix the problem it indicates and reset it by unhooking the battery.
