Wikipedia is designed to provide general information on general and notable subjects. It is not designed as an instruction manual, a source of unverified information (even if it is true), a crystal ball, or specific information that very few people would be interested in. Wikipedia cannot, and does not try to, provide information on absolutely everything.

Questions on WikiAnswers, however, are not subject to a popularity contest. There will probably never be a Wikipedia article about the average number of warts on a male Colombian toad born in 1999, but you can ask about it on WikiAnswers, and someone will answer if they know.

Is WikiAnswers and wikipedia reliable sites for information?

No I'm sorry but wiki answers and Wikipedia are not reliable sources to find information. If you get information off of here its wrong. Wait so if all information is wrong, that means this information is wrong but its right but if it wrong it can't be true. I don't know just dont use this site...............--I would have to disagree, but i also have to agree, as some of the information on wikipedia and wikianswers is true, but some contributors tend to "sabotage" answers. Thus, making it both reliable and unreliable.
