I recently found out that dragon fruit, which I have planted in my yard, grows best with chicken manure. However, I'm very reluctant to buy the chicken manure because I grew up on a farm with a hen house, and the smell was so disgusting, I just don't know if I can deal with the smell. I saw a bag of it at the garden shop the other day - maybe I'll go and try to smell it and check if it stinks or if they figured out a way to get rid of the nasty smell. Anyway, that's why I think people don't use it - the stink!
