Snails are not kosher, so Jews who follow the rules of kashrut do not eat snails. However, not all Jews keep kosher, so some Jews do eat snails.

Really its all about a matter of opinon. Some people think they follow the preamble and others dont. Some say yes because they follow some of the rules and othes say no because most of them they dont follow now.

According to the strictly technical rules of Kosher, yes. Although some Jews don't feel comfortable with eating veal because of the conditions in which most such animals are raised, and that's OK, but not to be confused with Kosher Laws. Kosher may happen to be more humane and sanitary, but that's not what defines Kosher.
