Metal fillings are typically not made of ferrous metals, meaning containing iron. Even if they do, the amount of metal is very minute, and the metal detectors aren't sensitive enough to pick up those small of amounts.

my toddler has fillings on his front teeth and they fall out every 6 months or so...with or without him hitting his face. i didnt want the silver fillings because i dont want my 3 year old having a grill, but were spending $100 every time we go to get the filling fixed. worth it...
