Cats view dogs as a predatory enemy. In the wild cats who are smaller than dogs would be a food source. Cats have a natural inclination to protect themselves from any animal that is larger and could pose a threat to their lives. Also when a dog wags it's tail in dog language that means he/she is happy, in cat language it means I'm mad go away. so the dog thinks he/she's happy and the cat thinks he/she's mad.
the above is true, but some can be the best of companions.
there was ( true story ) a snake & hamster who grew up together & were inseperable.

We had so many cats and one dog. As I have observed, male cats and male dogs doesn't go well together. They both attempt to claim their territory and fight unnecessarily. But female cats can be friendly with dogs, and kept in the same home.
Cats and dogs behave in contrarian ways: When a cat wants to signal a warning to another cat, their ears go back and they swish their tail. These are the same signals a dog uses to display submission (ears back, tail wagging). If a dog or cat does not grow up with, or live with the other, they tend to mis-read their counterpart's physical signals.
The more agressive an animal (in play or in agression), the more intimidating it is to the other.
A cat and dog can get along if they grow up together because they learn to read each other's physical displays properly.
If they didn't grow up together, then it depends on how aggressive the individual animals are, if they've been neutered, if they've had previous experience with the other creature etc..
Their behavior ques are completely different.

cats are usually afraid of dogs because they are less of a threat & think dogs as the superior & are not born with them. but if you get a kitten while you have a dog it will not be afraid or be acquanted wth it, but not always

same rules aply wth "y do brothers & sisters not like each other?''
dogs think they r superior, somez so. but cats are inependant & try, but they formost part, lose. but they will always fight one way or another.
yet, some absolutely love each other.
It's the other way around, cats don't like dogs because for a cat swinging the tail means "I want to fight" but for a dog it means "i'm happy"
cats do like dogs sometimes. cats dont like random dogs they meet on the street because they are strangers. but if a cat grew up with a dog and has known them their whole life they sare like best pals.
They don't.. Dogs act like dogs and cats act like cats.
If by "malt" you mean "moult" or shed, then there are some short-haired cats like Devon Rex, and even hairless cats like the Sphynx.
Gorillas dont like cats
It's a matter of opinion. According to a book I read on cats, more people have pet cats than dogs. BUt that doesn't mean they like cats better. It really just depends on the person itself.
no they dont cats and dogs have more capability than humans espeacily dogs
Cats are very shy and most of them dont like people. But dogs love people.

i think people like cats more because u dont have to walk them in the cold or the heat outside, they dont pea or dodo on the fornerture making it smell nasty or leave stains, u dont have to train them, they dont cry, and are kinda less dangeross . plus, cats love affection and are sweet and adorable. i like dogs too....... but im just saying cats r easier to have as pets.
well dogs are kinda more like a side kick and cats are more like family cats are related to lions and other wild cats dogs are related to wolfs so they will more like a hunter and protect you cats are alert and will give you signs that their is trouble near and cats cuddle a lot some dogs do but some dont both cats and dogs can do tricks and remember cats clean them selfs and you have to wash dogs
Of course they dont hate men dogs love everyone they like to be played with and fed. (They are not at all like cats lol :))

A Dog is a boy and a cat is a girl. This answer is unexceptable ^^ The real answer can be found on google images. You can look up pictures of dogs and cats and then tell the difference. But if you dont have the time to, heres an answer. -Dogs bark, cats meow -Dogs have longer noses -Cats are smaller than most dogs -Cats are dainty I know these will help! =]
