Why dont kids get adopted?

• Many potential parents cannot afford the huge sum of money it takes to adopt a child.
• Some potential parents or parents where one is a biological parent and the other a step-parent find there are obstacles that prevent them from being able to adopt.
• Some potential parents want babies only because they want to rear a child from babyhood.
• Some potential parents will not adopt problem children.
• Some potential parents will not adopt children of druggies or alcoholic or who have a serious chronic medical problem.
• Some children waiting to be adopted put out negative vibes or put up a wall and do not accept the people who are doing a trial period with them.
• Some people are afraid to adopt or physically or mentally are not capable of adopting or rearing children.
• Some people believe that if they add another child to their family the other children will mistreat the adopted child.
