Could be a lot of reasons. But, start with the coil first.
A 302 engine is one that has a total displacement of 302 cubic inches. This is roughly 5.0 Liters. Although the displacement of 302 ci can exist in any style of engine, it is most likely and American made V8.
pretty much any 302, or 351 heads will fit
A bad ignition coil will cause your engine not to have any spark. Without any spark the engine cannot start or run.
If there is any residue on the spark plug, it will not produce a sufficient spark for the engine ignition.
Yes, of course you can use both Motorcraft and Autolite plugs in ANY Ford engine, since those are both MAJOR Ford brand names! Actually, your first problem is to find out which Ford engine you have, there is no such engine as the "302 Cleveland" engine. Cleveland motors are 351 cubic inches displacement. In fact, the physical SIZE of the plugs used in a 302 & 351 are different. Please determine what motor you have EXACTLY. Thanks in advance! Sonny
Those numbers do not match any Ford engine. 302 engines were not available in a Windsor or Cleveland, only in a 351.
With enough cuttin you can put any engine in anything.
Try starting the engine, pull the spark plug out and see if it is wet with gas, if it is you might not have any spark(possible from a fouled spark plug) or it might have low compression, put the plug into the spark plug boot and set the tip of the plug onto something that is metal on the engine and turn the engine over. you should see spark, no spark=ignition problem. If the plug is not wet the engine isn't getting any gas and you have a carburetor problem.
That would depend on which engine you have in your 2003 Ford Excursion : The 7.3 liter diesel engine doesn't use any spark plugs The 5.4 liter V8 engine has ( 8 spark plugs ) The 6.8 liter V10 engine has ( 10 spark plugs )
That depends if you have a gasoline engine On a 2003 Ford F-250 if you have the 5.4 liter gasoline V8 engine it has ( 8 spark plugs ) If you have the 6.8 liter gasoline V10 engine it has ( 10 spark plugs ) If you have the 7.3 liter DIESEL engine it doesn't have any spark plugs
It doesn't have any spark plugs but it does have 8 glow plugs.
If you have an old lawn mower spark plug (or any spark plug), pull off any spark plug wire and attach the old plug to it. Lay the plug down on on a grounded metal part of the engine and have someone crank the engine over and watch for spark. My guess is you have spark but no fuel. A bad fuel pump is common for GM.
