Check the easiest things first. Is you oil level full? When the engine is running, does it make a lot of lifter noise (more than usual)? If so, your bearings or the oil pump is shot. If it's running normally, check the oil sending unit to see if it's faulty or disconnected. You can also check behind the instrument cluster to see if the wires are connected properly.
