This is a really simple answer, as I am only 10, but the Earth itself is a big magnet, as it has a a core of molten iron.

The iron in the core, acts as a magnet and therefore, exerts its own magnetic field.

Sorry it is so simple!

Where does the earth's magnetic field get its power from?

earths magnetic field is generated by the circulation of liquid metal.

What are sudden disturbances in earth's magnetic field called?

Sudden disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field are called magnetic storms. These storms are typically caused by solar wind interacting with Earth's magnetosphere, resulting in fluctuations and disturbances in the magnetic field. Magnetic storms can affect a variety of technologies such as power grids, satellites, and communication systems.

Does Uruguay have a magnetic field?

The earth as a single object has a magnetic field. If Uruguay is part of the earth, it shares the earth's magnetic field.

How would you prove that earth has power of magnetism?

Every compass responds to the magnetic field of the planet Earth. In addition, the Earth's magnetic field is responsible for astronomical phenomena such as the Van Allen Belts and the aurora borealis, which can also be observed. More precisely, an instrument called a magnetometer can be used to measure magnetic fields, and if you were to travel around the world measuring magnetic fields (and adjusting for other magnetic fields than the Earth's own field) you could get a very accurate picture of the Earth's magnetism.

What is resion of Earth magnetic field?

The Earth's magnetic field is the result of electrical currents flowing in the earth.

What is the magnetic force of this planet called?

The magnetic force on Earth is called Earth's magnetic field or also the geomagnetic field.

What is it called when Earth's magnetic poles chang places?

This is known as magnetic reversal when earth's magnetic poles change places.

How do magnetic stripes show Earth's history of magnetic fields?

As you move away from an ocean ridge, the rocks get older.

Where on Earth has the most magnetic pull?

The magnetic North Pole, located in the Arctic Ocean, has the most magnetic pull on Earth. It is the point where the Earth's magnetic field points vertically downwards.

Is the magnetic field of earth stronger near the middle of the earth or at the bottom of earth?

near both magnetic poles

Where the vertical component of earth's magnetic field is zero?

The vertical component of Earth's magnetic field is zero at the magnetic equator, where the magnetic field lines are horizontal. At the magnetic equator, the magnetic field lines run parallel to the Earth's surface, resulting in a zero vertical component.

How would you use the Earth's magnetic field to tell you where on Earth you are?

You can't. The only thing the earth's magnetic field can tell you is the direction from where you are toward the earth's magnetic pole. That doesn't tell you anything about where you are.
