electromagnets
Electromagnets. They are generally required to loose their magnetism, as soon as the power is removed. This is done by using a soft iron core or laminated plates.
The student tested his theory using electromagnets, an iron bar, and a piece of copper coil.
A magnet consisting essentially of a coil of insulated wire wrapped around a soft iron core that is magnetized only when current flows through the wire.
1 a nuke uses electromagnets so does not fall apart they use it to keep the iron shell on and so it does not fall over and does not explode randomly.
electromagnets
no there is no use of electromagnets in iron box
soft iron B-H curve area is very high and hysteresis loss is proportional to it frequency or no of loop cycles per sec and area of loop so hysteresis loss increases in soft iron as electro magnet
Electromagnets, they are usually made of a iron core and a warping of copper.
a big one electromagnets they are made of soft iron and have a large coil wound around them they are powered by a heavy current and do not retain the magnetism when power removed
They both are strong and are made of iron and steel.
you get a magnetic maerial (mainly iron nail) and wrap copper wire around it and attach a baterie to the copper wire and there you have it, an electromagnet

A magnet is made of 'Soft' Iron. A pin has steel (iron) in it. A match does NOT have iron in it.
Unlike normal magnets, electromagnets attract just someof the alloys that contain iron, such as steel and iron, but not all of them. Electromagnets do not attract aluminium, copper, titanium, brass, bronze, tin, nickel, platinum, gold, silver, lead or pewter.Contrary to some opinions, electromagnets cannot attract cardboard.See also the related question.
