The main reasons are (a) they're cheaper to produce than copper cables, (b) they can carry much more data (multiple signals in one strand) - copper cable can only carry ONE signal. and (c) they're impossible to tap without being detected !
d
By using Fiber Optics, we can achieve 100Gbps.
guided media is that media which use some physical path like coaxial cable fiber optics etc
UTP (Category 5, 5e, 6, and 7) Fiber-optics Wireless
Fiber optic cables are more secure than other types of cable media primarily because they transmit data using light signals, making them immune to electromagnetic interference and eavesdropping. Unlike copper cables, which can be tapped easily without detection, fiber optics require physical access and specialized equipment to intercept the light signals, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access. Additionally, any attempt to breach a fiber optic cable often results in a noticeable loss of signal, further enhancing security through immediate detection.
Fiber optic wireless internet does not exist. What you might want say is you have fiber optic internet and a wireless router connected to it. Anyway computers do not care which media is used to transmit signals. If your psp can't connect to internet it has nothing to do with the fact you have fiber optics. I would check wireless connection options in your router settings.
Transmission media is used to carry data from one point to another in a telecommunication network. It serves as the physical pathway for signals to travel between devices in a network. Different types of transmission media, such as copper wires, fiber optics, and wireless channels, offer various speeds, capacities, and levels of reliability for data transmission.
Propagation media refer to the materials or environments through which signals, waves, or energy travel. In telecommunications, this can include air, fiber optics, or coaxial cables, which facilitate the transmission of data. In ecological contexts, propagation media may involve soil or water that supports the growth and dispersal of plants and organisms. The choice of propagation media significantly affects the efficiency and effectiveness of signal transmission or biological processes.
there are different network media, fiber, copper cable etc.to make communication in different media, need the media converter, for example, fiber media converter making the copper ethernet over fiber transmission,E1/ethernet converter making the ethernet over E1 conversion.
fibre optics cables are used as transmission medium.
Wired media are forms of wired communication in which all is transmitted via a wired as opposed to wireless connections. Cable television, wired telephone networks and fiber optics are all considered wired communications. Even wireless devices like mobile phones, the internet and satellite communications still need to rely on wired communications.
