Miami is the major city that has been dpresding into the area that once was part of the Everglades
Major cities, like Miami, are expanding into the everglades, therefor decreasing the size of the original everglades

The Everglades National Park is west of Miami. It is about an hour and a half drive (80 miles) using US 41.
I don't think their has ever been a Crocodile Attack in Miami, because their aren't any Crocodiles in Miami, they are only at the Southern tip of the Everglades. Alligator Attacks, occassionally.....
Miami and Fort Lauderdale would be the biggest ones.
Well if you keep driving west from any area in South Florida you would hit the everglades. But I'd say about 15-20 miles from miami.
